Finally got my hands on some white chocolate spread!! So, it was only natural that I was going to make white chocolate & berry waffles as soon as I could. I’ve been quiet on the content for a while. But my journey with Slimming World and trying out new recipes certainly has not stopped. My final year at university kept and still is keeping me busy, alongside a global pandemic, but we don’t need to talk about that…But I do hope you and any loved ones are keeping well. However, a nationwide lockdown has given me some extra time on my hands and what better to fill it with than good food and sharing the recipes.
Enjoy a waffle during this pandemic, you deserve it.
Waffles are probably my second favourite breakfast alongside pancakes. With a good amount of frylight, or a smidge of oil (make sure to count this) they are crisp and fluffy and oh so enjoyable. Just like the pancakes, the list of toppings are endless. My go to is usually some kind of fruit with a spread or sauce, and this time, I chose strawberries and white chocolate. What a combo that is, just like strawberries and cream! is back.
I was kindly gifted a waffle maker for Christmas (thanks Mum and Dad) and I would highly recommend investing in one yourself. It’s not too expensive and you can sift around for one that suits you and your price range. I linked the one I received below and it is a very reliable, easy to clean, and the non-stick plates are great for achieving that perfect waffle!
What I needed for this recipe:

Easy Slimming World waffles easily made in your waffle maker. Serve with your chosen topping, in this case I went with juicy strawberries and creamy white chocolate fruit, but the choice is yours!
1 egg white
4 tsbp of fat free yoghurt
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1 tbsp of sweetener (0.5)
40g of rolled oats (hexb)
Desired amount of strawberries
1 tsbp of Asda white chocolate spread (4.5)
Preheat your waffle maker (medium -high) and blitz the rolled oats into a fine powder.
Add the egg, egg white, fat free yoghurt, vanilla extract and sweetener. Mix the ingredients together and once the waffles maker is heated, pour on the mixture and spread it out evenly. Cook for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare your toppings (I chose strawberries with white chocolate spread drizzled on top and, once your desired texture, remove from the waffle maker, add your toppings and enjoy!
Make sure to count accordinly if you choose different toppings.
