Slimming World Breakfast Banana Split

I would firstly like to thank PinchOfNom for this recipe, which you can find in their everyday light recipe book! I got this book for Christmas and I am OBSESSED. For the last week, I have been experimenting with some recipes I’ve highlighted in the book and not a single one has disappointed! Including this breakfast banana split.

I’m back and it’s in the form of a Breakfast Banana Split!

This breakfast is super quick, really nutritional and so so yummy! (I really cannot express that enough). The banana and sweet yoghurt mix makes for a really creamy taste but the added strawberries gives that quick zing of flavour to this breakfast recipe. Oh, and the crunchy almonds add a quick and subtle addition to this recipe, and you get some needed protein from them along the way. I’ve been eating this for breakfast a lot over the last week. I’ve been away from blogging for a little bit but I am officially back on plan (as of last week). My deadlines at uni are finally at bay for a little while so I can focus on banging out some new content!

Description

Creamy and zingy, this breakfast banana split is a great way to start a new and healthy week! Thanks goes to PinchOfNom

Ingredients

1 banana

4 strawberries (blueberries are optional for some extra fruit)

100g of fat free greek yoghurt

1 tsbp of granulated sweetener (0.5 a syn)

1 tsp of vanilla extract

12.5g of flaked almonds (3.75 syns)


Instructions

Split one banana in half and down the middle and chop up the strawberries into slices

Weigh out the yoghurt and mix it with the sweetener, vanilla extract and some of the strawberries. You’ll want to leave a small amount of the strawberries (a few slices) so you can garnish

Layout the banana onto the plate, plop the yoghurt mix on top and add the remaining strawberries

Weigh out 12.5g of flaked almonds and sprinkle them on top.
